What is Critical Race Theory? By Richard Rothschild
As our speaker Richard Rothschild describes, Critical Race Theory (CRT) or also known as Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is “simply racism on steroids”. On January 15 Commissioner Rothschild used multiple scenes from teacher union meetings where “white privilege” trainings took place (see embedded videos here). “When you change the words white for black, then you would be under investigation by the FBI for hate crimes” says Commissioner Rothschild.
The very definition of critical race theory is racist. Attributing negative attributes to an individual based on their skin color is anti-white, anti-constitutional, anti-capitalism and pro Marxists. Our founding fathers understood that slavery was immoral. “"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” The constitution laid the framework for emancipation 70 years later. Slavery is a violation of Christian values.
What are the solutions to these issues? See here for a copy of the Republican Women of Baltimore County letter sent to BCPS to eliminate sexual content from the school libraries. Bringing awareness to the community of these flawed public school policies is a good start. Longer term how do we begin to fix these problems? Run for a school board position.
