The Republican Women of Baltimore County (RWBC) prides itself in giving back to the community through the Caring for America Committee. This season the Committee has chosen Hons Honey in Baltimore, Hon’s Honey is a social enterprise and work development program of a non profit called the Well. By helping women learn the skills necessary to thrive in the workforce, Hons Honey gives dignity and purpose to women who have suffered personal traumas such as addiction, sex trafficking, generational poverty, and abuse.
The RWBC Caring for America committee is taking a two-pronged approach for this holiday fundraiser. The Committee has developed a fundraising event that will both help women in need while it also provides an opportunity for its club members to shop for wonderful holiday honey gifts. Although Halloween and Thanksgiving are still before us, we all know how fast those holidays fly by before it is CHRISTMAS!
Gifts will be on display and for purchase at the RWBC November 19th meeting at Cub Hill Church in Parkville. Products may also be purchased online at honshoney.com. Every purchase matters, 100% of profits employ women survivors of trauma. The Republican Women of Baltimore County are proud to be sponsors of this organization that empowers women to identify their life’s purpose. The Well serves an estimated 800 women annually.
